નર્મદા જિલ્લામાં આદિજાતિ કન્યાઓને લગ્ન પ્રસંગે સહાય આપવા માટે કુંવરબાઈનું મામેરુ યોજના અમલી છે. આ યોજના હેઠળ લાભાર્થી દીઠ ૧૨,૦૦૦ રૂપિયાની સહાય ચૂકવવામાં આવે છે. છેલ્લા બે વર્ષમાં નર્મદા જિલ્લામાં આ યોજના અંતર્ગત ૧,૧૦૧ આદિજાતિ કન્યાઓને લાભ આપવામાં આવ્યો છે તેમ વિધાનસભા ગૃહ ખાતે પૂછાયેલા પ્રશ્નના જવાબમાં આદિજાતિ રાજ્ય મંત્રી શ્રી કુંવરજી હળપતિએ જણાવ્યું હતું.

કુંવરબાઈનું મામેરુ યોજના વર્ષ ૧૯૯૫થી અમલી છે. અનુસૂચિત જનજાતિની કન્યાઓને અને તેમના કુટુંબને લગ્ન પ્રસંગે મળતી આ સહાય આશીર્વાદરૂપ બની રહી છે. નર્મદા જિલ્લામાં છેલ્લાં બે વર્ષમાં કુલ રૂ. ૧૩૨.૧૨ લાખની સહાય ચૂકવવામાં આવી છે તેમ મંત્રીશ્રીએ વધુમાં જણાવ્યું હતું.
